    The Watercycle - evaporation [sun heats up water and it turns into a gas]-condensation [the droplets, which is a gas, cools down, clouds are formed]-precipitation [rain, hail, snow, sleet]-run-off [rivers, underground water]- collection [water gathers in the oceans] and the process starts again!

    Hello and Welcome to your Y4 blog- previously the Y5V blog. The name 'Ubuntu' means also to help one another and work together, have compassion and humility - all linking to our 5 school values!

Jim’s story

StreetchildThere lived a family that lived in a huge house which they shared with other families. There was also a man who wanted to know Jim’s story. Jim was a boy of about 11 years old. He lived with his family in this large house. He has two sisters, Lizzie and Emily. His mum is very ill. Jim took the last shilling to buy them some food. Jim ran through the muddy puddles in order to get to the shop. He stood by the window looking through at the piping hot food, deciding what to do. Jim said, “Shall I go home or shall I buy the hot pie? As Jim walked in he nearly fainted, because he loved the food and was very hungry.

Jim bought one pie with the shilling and ran home to his family. They ate the pie. His mum was too ill to eat the pie and Jim finished the pie. Emily and Lizzie didn’t want him to finish the pie and said it was also for their mum, but Jim knew his mum was too ill to eat so he ate it. 

The following morning Mr Spinks came to ask them money for the rent. His family couldn’t pay the rent. Harmeet.
